Tom Bagaza established coffee villages in 2008. A native of the area, he found coffee as an opportunity for him to invest back in his community sustainably. He built the washing station with the hope to work with farmers buying their cherries, and employing them during the harvest to process the cherries. Ever since, Tom spent most of his profit earned every year to increase the capacity of the washing station, which has grown to process up to 4 containers worth of coffee now. To contain all the cherries harvested by his community of 800 farmers, he is establishing a second wet mill nearby. Through the support of RTC and buyers of his coffee, he built a water system for his community to access clean water.
