BRAZIL – FAZENDA SANTA CRUZ
PARAGUAÇU, SOUTH OF MINAS | BRAZIL
Located in the hilly region of Paraguaçu, Fazenda Santa Cruz is expertly managed by Josiani Moraes, a leading voice for women in Brazilian coffee. Since transforming the land from an orange grove in 1998, the Moraes family has prioritised a holistic, chemical-free approach to farming. The estate is a model of sustainability, featuring on-site organic fertilisation and eco-pathways that connect 392 hectares of coffee with reforested native woodlands.
This lot is processed using the pulped natural method, where the sweet fruit mucilage is left on the bean during sun-drying to enhance body and sweetness. This meticulous care, combined with the farm's commitment to ecosystem protection, results in a clean and highly consistent specialty cup. Expect comforting notes of dark chocolate and almond, lifted by a festive hint of orange and a smooth, balanced finish.
