We are delighted to welcome this years Santa Cruz, A Coffee we sourced directly from origin at Fazenda Santa Cruz, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
One of the best things about Brazilian Specialty Coffee is that you always know what you're getting. There's a certain comfort in the familiarity of a warm, rich and full-bodied cup of Brazilian. You don't have to take our word for it either... The proof is in the pudding with Brazil being consistently our most popular coffee origin! It's for that reason that we've decided to go back to offering not one but, but two Brazilian coffees
Although the farm has been around for many moons, Fazenda Santa Cruz was historically an orange farm and it wasn't till the late 90s that they planted their first coffee trees. Ever since they began producing coffee, they have been in pursuit of two things: excellence and sustainability. They immediately began investing in education and equipment to improve the quality of their coffee and ensure that their farm lived up to the quality that had become synonymous with the Minas Gerais region of Brazil. They've also put careful consideration into the local ecosystem while developing the coffee plantation, making a concerted effort to ensure that the local flora and fauna can live in peace amongst the coffee trees.
In the cup, you will find a classic Brazilian flavour profile - the kind that you have come to know and love. The notes of milk chocolate and hazelnut make this coffee a classic contender for milky drinks such as a cappuccino or a flat white; the chocolate and hazelnut cut through the milk to create a rich praline-like flavour that is decadent and delightful. If you prefer your coffee black, you still get these notes, but the acidity has a bit more room to play with a lovely citrus finish.
