After winning the most world's most coveted award for alternative coffee brewing in 2016, the World Brewers Cup Championship, Tetsu Kasuya teamed up with Hario to design some unique and beautiful coffee-making equipment. If you are interested in the 4:6 brew recipe that won the Brewers Cup title (it's one of our favourites at SOMA), you can check it out below!
The Kasuya Range of Hario products are all designed with a beautiful and stylish matte black finish (a little like SOMA HQ if you think about it). When brewing a pour over, making sure that all the coffee is saturated evenly can make a big difference in your extraction and flavour. This kettle has a precision pouring spout and an ergonomic handle making each pour slow, directional, and precisely where you want it. By giving you extra control and precision, you can decide how fast the water flows and tweak your brews to perfection.
The gooseneck spout also makes pouring devices with a narrow opening (like a small French Press or AeroPress) easier, more ergonomic, and with less mess than a normal kettle.
NOTE: this kettle is for designed pouring only and is not intended to be used as a heating device. For best results, heat your water in a regular kettle and decant it into the pouring kettle before brewing.
