While the MoccaMaster does have a hot plate to keep your coffee warm, it is a well-known fact that keeping coffee warm on a hot plate for too long results in the coffee losing a lot of its good flavour. To address this the latest iteration of the MoccaMaster brewer is the KGB Select; the Select has added a feature to brew a full batch (1.25l) or a half batch (600ml). When brewing a half batch, the MoccaMaster slows the pour down and makes adjustments to the pulses in order to achieve the same levels of extraction with a similar grind setting and a smaller brew.
